Started reading Don't Waste Your Life last week. I am only through the first few chapters, but it is turning out to be a very interesting read. Seems to be a call to re-evaluate what life's priorities are, so that when life is over we can look back and see those landmarks that we have established through following Christ. It doesn't condemn those things that we do for entertainment, but so far, it is calling into question the "entertainment-driven" aspect of our society. From that, it seems to be exhorting each of us to realize teh importance of the Cross in the life of each Christian. The third chapter, at least in part, reminds me of Born Crucified by LE Maxwell...the book that I feel has molded my spiritual life more than any other save Scripture itself.
The room-mate's wedding is over and done now. I'm glad it's done. I'll be even more happy once I am back in my own place again. This whole room-mate thing has been good - I guess - and definitely a learning experience, but I will be only too glad once it's over. My mom tells me I'm a loner. Speaking of the wedding...what was that little jig his girl did when the preacher said the man and wife line?!?!? Huh?!?!? What was that?!?!? If it was my girl I would of hit on the head when she pulled that out. LOL
Talked to a girl for a while this weekend that I almost asked out a year ago...I thought I might swoon. Maybe I'll ask her out yet. ;-)

On a sobering note...got word that Mr Brown passed away of cancer today. Worked for him about 10 or 12 years ago when I lived in Chicago. He will be missed. he leaves behind his wife and kids. God is sovreign.

currently listening to Fernando Ortega - Hymns of Worship....I like his approach to some of the old ones :-D
reminded of home today...wish I was 17 again - NOT!!!! maybe 17 knowing what I know now....or probably more like my age now with all the lack of responsibilities and carefree attitudes I had back then....I miss home and the folks I grew up with
the battery on my watch ran out today...does that give me an excuse to be late everywhere until I get it replaced?? I crack myself up!! ROFL
I hate work...want to go home and watch a movie or something :-D
Rice won the college world series yesterday....first national championship of any sort...good for them! and they beat tu to get there ;-)

Decided to start a blog today...we'll see how it goes. It will be a continual work in progress until I get it like I want so show some patience already. I figured I would use the "included template" until I actually take time to do something of my own...so I agree totally...it looks kinda like everyone elses's. :-) It will be updated as I think about it...some good things and some stupid things...kinda like me :-D Most of all I hope to show how Christ is working in my life.
Currently listening to the soundtrack from Chicago while at work. Who woulda thought that Zeta Jones could sing and dance and look like that?? ;-)
Missed church today. Should of been there. I was going to make a point to one of the room-mates so I got up at 6:45. Then decided I was moving out in two months so why make him mad so I laid back down. Woke back up at 11....hmmmm....services were already starting and I hadn't even had a shower. Maybe next week. To punish myself for my lack of self-discipline I will study the Bible overview I have been doing lately extra this week.
